The purpose of this post is to narrow the range of topics. This is the pace to discuss approved tools such as OpenSCAD and FreeCAD for Ubuntu or for Debian, libraries such BOSL2 or MCAD for OpenSCAD, and anything relevant.
Create / visit a different channel to share and discuss creating models using ONE of those software packages and its libraries. Do not post scripts here, do not ask for help with models, and most importantly do not reference / compare commercial software.
The fact is, the best place to discuss these tools are on their own forums. If you are a creator or someone in the know you are welcome to advertise here, invite people to your place.
Another fact is that if you are proficient with a commercial package you should be also proficient with OSS equivalents - while the opposite is not necessarily the case. Some people cannot afford to master or keep using software which costs thousands of USD in licensing fee.
You are welcome to create a C3DP channel (Commercial 3D Printing), or any other channel to discuss anything else. You are welcome to moderate that channel for focus, the same way I moderate this channel. Everyone is welcome to use this server for productive purposes.
